The Outside Art Project

Discover some fantastic art in the open right here in Kings Cross

The Outside Art Project turns King’s Cross into one of the largest outdoor gallery spaces in London. Enjoy incredible art from an exciting lineup of local, national and international artists, with a year-round programme of always-on, always-free, and always open art displayed on double sided gallery benches on the streets of N1C. Find out what’s showing now.

Kings Cross partners with different cultural organisations to curate the art for the project, including the likes of Mentivity, an award-winning mentoring charity addressing issues facing young people from black and minority ethnic backgrounds.

Exhibitions are diverse: Gingerbread‘s documentary portraits of single parents; Supernature’s macro images; The Aga Kahn Foundation‘s pictures of the Silk Road; Global Generation and Fish Tank‘s studio portraits of gifted locals. The work is as varied as its creators, with medium and style changing from exhibition to exhibition.
