Soft play for the little ones

Feed your child’s imagination with a visit to the SNUG soft play area

SNUG is soft play with a difference – instead of fixed play equipment, the kit consists of soft and tactile shapes that children can join together to create their own exciting play landscapes. Kids can create dens, tunnels, obstacle courses, trampolines, rockets, houses – the possibilities are endless, and the hands-on nature encourages kids to work together to build something fun.

Follow signs for Lewis Cubitt Park (off Handyside Street) where you’ll find the SNUG. The park is also great for older kids who prefer to kick a ball around on the lawn.

The play equipment will be at the park daily between 10am and 6pm throughout the summer (provided it is not too wet on the grass).

If some refuelling is in order, then check out our full recommended list of family-friendly restaurants in the area – with everything from pizza to paneer tikka, and falafel to egg-and-soldiers. And, for an afternoon treat, why not take a stroll to the Ruby Violet ice cream parlour for some of their irresistible handmade ice creams.
