Ruby Violet is a delightful ice cream parlour by the canal in Kings Cross, serving ice creams, sorbets, cakes and drinks. The ice cream is handmade in small batches, with an emphasis on organic, locally sourced, top-notch ingredients.

On the menu you’ll find the classics, mint choc chip, salted caramel, Belgian chocolate, vanilla, but the real fun is in the more madcap flavours. The line up is ever-changing, but adventurous sorts can try a scoop of the likes of Blood Orange and Campari, Liquorice, Horseradish, Apricot and Sour Cream or Guinness and Blue Cheese ice cream.
There are also a range of sorbets (most of which are vegan), and extras such as milkshakes, affogato, and sundaes, plus tea, coffee, and a truly excellent hot chocolate.
Small but perfectly formed Ruby Violet offers a cosy seating area inside, and a sun-soaked terrace outside, just beside the pretty planting of Wharf Road Gardens.
