Expect classic gastropub fare, with lots of fresh seasonal veg. Open for brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks, there are beef burgers with skin-on fries, flatbread pizzas, steak with bearnaise sauce and chargrilled chicken, as well as several vegetarian options. The drinks menu is solid, with a great selection of cocktails, wines, and craft beers.
Inside is swishy, industrial and sleek. The bar is a popular spot for after-work drinks, while upstairs lends itself to slightly more formal dining. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in a glorious amount of light, and it’s a truly delightful space for views of the canal and beyond, especially as the sun is setting.
There are not one but three terraces – a wraparound terrace upstairs, seating on Granary Square overlooking the fountains, and a canalside terrace.
