STORE STORE seeks to address the social imbalance within art, design and architecture education, by helping more young people into applied creative courses – especially those who might not have considered the pathway at all.
You’ll find a selection of homeware products for sale, some of which are made by the participants of after school club and others by some of the most innovative and exciting designers working in London and Rotterdam, where STORE STORE also has a programme. Look out for handmade ceramics, artisanal candles and textured glassware.
Workshops: STORE STORE runs an after school club for 15-18 year old state school students during the week and workshops open to the public at the weekends, introducing participants to a diverse range of creative skills taught by professional artists and makers.
For the STORE STORE x Rains after school club, students designed and made a bespoke collection of ‘Rain Hats’ using waste jackets and bags from the Rains production line. Guided by the collective Congregation Design, students were introduced to sustainability within design, pattern-cutting and tailoring.
The hats are available from STORE STORE, will all proceeds going to support their educational programme.
