Lightroom

Lightroom is a new home for spectacular artist-led shows that uses state the latest digital projection and audio technology to create mind-blowing immersive experiences.

The gallery’s inaugural exhibition, DAVID HOCKNEY: BIGGER AND CLOSER (not smaller and further away), is an electrifying retrospective of the revered artist’s work.

The extraordinary four-storey space offers vast walls and a revolutionary sound system, allowing artists and creatives to create visually astonishing experiences, alive with sound and rich with new perspectives.

Lightroom was designed by Haworth Tompkins as a sister space to the award-winning Bridge Theatre in SE1.  The generous foyer will contain a café/bar run in collaboration with Fergus Henderson’s celebrated restaurant St. John, a gift shop and seating in the foyer and outside on the square. The venue will be open seven days a week throughout the day and on most evenings.

Visual production partner, disguise, is an award winning platform which delivers spectacular visual experiences. disguise is building the next generation of collaborative tools to help artists and technologists realise their vision.

There is a free cloakroom for jackets and coats available in the venue but Lightroom do not have storage space for luggage, they recommend using luggage storage facilities at Kings Cross station.
