Kick off with a variety of starters, traditional Korean pancakes, lightly battered prawns, salads and rice and fish cakes in a sizzling sauce.

The mains are split into rice dishes, noodles, and ‘pot’, where meat, vegetables and noodles are simmered to a chunky, spicy soup. Or choose from the barbecue section – barbecue is a speciality in Korea, with delicious thin slices of beef marinated in a rich soy, garlic and ginger sauce before hitting the charcoal grill.

Step into the downstairs dining room for a shared dining experience with the traditional Korean barbecue. With a variation of meats including the highly coveted Wagyu beef, Iberico pork and Ribeye steak to grill in real time at your table, enjoyed best with great company.

If you are looking to get a great start to your evening or winding down after a long week, there is an array of carefully curated cocktails with ingredients inspired by Korea to suit any taste. Enjoy the Soju Red cocktail, highlighting the flavours of Korean soju, or the balanced sweetness of the Lychee Love.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, with elegant floor-to-ceiling wood columns carved with Korean-inspired geometric shapes. There’s a buzzy open kitchen, long benches that work for solo diners, pairs and larger groups, while low lighting lends an ambient and cosy feel to the 100-cover space.

Kimchee’s outdoor terrace is a lovely leafy space on the sun-drenched Pancras Square.
