A challenging, beautiful, brave new world
Grace Dent, The Guardian

The food is extraordinary: woodfired, steamed, fermented and pickled, with largely British dishes generously influenced by Japanese and Nordic cooking, a heady mix of the familiar and the sublime.

Navigating the menu is purposefully flexible – you’re encouraged to try a sharing-style feast of both pincho-esque small plates and heftier main dishes in any combination of breads, fish, charcuterie and jars of pickled veg.

The restaurant is in a light-filled, airy loft, a perfect backdrop for hicce’s relaxed, buzzy vibe. It sits on the top floor of fashion favourite Wolf & Badger in Coal Drops Yard.

Outside is the main restaurant terrace, available to book for lunch and dinner, with lots of pretty foliage and a great view of the kissing roof. On the lower level, there is a lovely courtyard terrace where you can enjoy a leisurely drink.
