Play Boules for Free at King’s Cross

Pétanque – also known as boules – is the French Riviera’s favourite leisure activity and is the perfect sport for long, hot afternoons.

Four sandy pétanque pitches will take centre stage in Lewis Cubitt Square from June until the end of summer. Gather your friends, pick up a set from the Visitor Centre and play for free. Pétanque is easy to learn and can be enjoyed by complete beginners and seasoned players alike.

Follow the floor signs to collect your pétanque kit then make your way to Lewis Cubitt Square for a FREE, fun-filled game. Download the rules of the game here or collect a sheet with your kit.

No glass, no dogs, and children under 12 must be supervised by an adult.
