Established in 1995 by Véronique Piedeleu, the business is family-run with husband Jack-Eric, and daughter Capucine Piedeleu, which explains Caravane’s highly personal feel across both collections and service.

Caravane is the antithesis to mass-production: their unique pieces are all centred around an appreciation of process, giving Caravane’s products an undeniable charm.
Caravane is a real family: Véronique Piedeleu’s husband, Jack-Eric takes care of the commercial side including global store development, while their daughter Capucine, heads up the communication and digital departments.
Craftsmanship: they have connections with villages and communities all over the world. “The craftspeople we work with use the materials that nature provides, and many of them have worked with us for more than 10 years so they’ve become friends.”
Everything in Caravane, from their beautiful textiles to their innovative homewares, are sourced and developed in a collaborative fashion. Meaning that they attempt to preserve and develop skills, and really care about sustainability.
You will find completely unique items, such as the Balbi lighting collection. “The inventive angle was to use vegetal fibres, such as leaves or grass. I knew a group of artisans in southern India who specialise in vegetal craft, so together we made a special yarn made from banana fibre.”
