On your bike! Cycling at King's Cross

Parking for bicycles on King's Boulevard, King's CrossKing’s Cross loves bikes!

King’s Cross was recently awarded Club Peloton baton as the UK’s most cycle friendly development!

The streets here are designed to be safer for bikes, with plenty of on-street cycle parking. The bike interchange between King’s Cross and St Pancras stations is at Evans Cycles, making bike parking at the stations easy and secure.

Get bike-related info with our Cycle App

The King’s Cross Cycle App shows public cycle parking and cycle hire stations as well all the cycle initiatives in the area. You can also see cycle parking and hire stations on the map.

Santander Bicycles in a docking station on Goodsway at King's CrossSantander Cycles and Bromptons now available at King’s Cross

There are now two Santander Cycle docking stations with over 50 bikes, plus a Brompton bike docking station coming soon. The Santander bikes are located on Goods Way (next to the zebra crossing) and Handyside Street (next to the Platform theatre). While the Brompton bikes can soon be found outside 6 Pancras Square.

Santander Cycles is London’s self-service, bike-sharing scheme for short journeys. You can hire a bike from as little as £2. Simply go to any docking station with your bank card and touch the screen to get started. There’s no need to book – hire a bike, ride it where you like, then return it to any docking station.

Hiring a Brompton Bike is equally easy, simply sign up online and reserve a bike via web, SMS or app. Punch your unique code into the dock, unfold your bike, and away you go! Bikes can be folded and taken on Tubes, trains and buses.
